Halloween SUPER LATE!

What can you do? At least I posted them before Christmas! Our costumes were Star Wars inspired - I was supposed be Darth Vadar (we had a mask, but at the last minute I couldn't find it so I spent to the whole night just telling people who I was), Jeff was Han Solo, Sydney was Princess Leah, and Jack was Yoda. We had a great night of Trunk or Treating at the ward house.

Posting Diarhhea

Because I can't help myself!

Witches at Gardener Village

So my mom wanted to make this new tradition - us girls getting dressed up and going out to see the witches! We did it last year, we had lunch and walked around but without the costumes. This year our costumes were excellent, but it was so busy we ended up eating lunch at Artic Circle cause we couldn't stand the crowds for very long. Syd loved it - all morning she was saying, "Let's go Halloween, Grammy!"

I'm bragging...

I made this skirt! Is it the bomb or what?

10-10-10

Jack was blessed on October 10th, 2010 - I know is that weird! I didn't even notice till my mom pointed it out to me. It was a wonderful day for family and he was very handsome! He looked like a one year old next to the other baby that was blessed, but have we ever been known to grown 'em small!

It's in the genes

So I have been doing all this family history and have come across a lot of pictures. Check this out: Luke (my brother) versus Jack and my mom versus Syd. See any resemblance?

Only the Very Strong-Minded

Last weekend, my brother ran the Wasatch 100 Mile Endurance Race. It was truly one of the most inspiring and awesome events I have been to. Our mom, our aunts Sandy and Pam, our cousin Ashlee, and his wife Meagan functioned as his "pit crew" over the 37 hours that it took him to complete the race. My brother has always been a huge example to me, and this accomplishment only added to the reasons why I look up to him. One of his pacers said to me that only the very strong-minded run races like the Wasatch 100 and that statement really typifies the kind of person my brother is. Luke, you are awesome and we love you! Congrats - YOU ROCK!
(Below is a short video of highlights from the race - ENJOY! - Oh, make sure you have audio - you need to hear it as well as see it!)

My Goals as a Mom with a Newborn and Toddler

1. Shower
2. Sleep for at least 5 consecutive hours a night (Ya right!)
3. Wear something other than pajamas
4. Smile more than I cry
5. Go outside the house at least once a week
6. Talk in a "nice" voice
7. Pray often
8. Remember the details - They won't always be this small and want my attention so much!

Are they really both mine?

Amid the sheer exhaustion that comes with a newborn and toddler, I experience moments when I can't believe they are both mine! They are beautiful!

Pictures of Baby Jack

My friend Shelese is beginning a photography business and she asked me if she could practice on Jack. Of course, I said YES! These are a few of my favorites. Thanks Shelese! You are awesome!
