Syd Crawls!

We have never allowed Sydney to play with three things: (1) the remote control, (2) the phone and (3) car keys. So when we decided it was time to give her some incentive to get crawling, we decided to put something in front of her that she really wants. As you can see from the attached video, it worked. When she saw that we were going to let he have the remote control if she crawled to it, she got up on her knees and crawled. We love her, and are pretty sure she is the cutest crawler ever. I don't know if we will ever get the remote back or not.

FHE with the Witches

This week for our FHE activity we went to Gardiner Village to see the witches. It was a blast and free, so that is always a bonus! I love when the holidays are here! It's easier to come up with fun activities! Anyway, we think that Syd looked especially cute as a witch, what do you think?

Sydney's First Swim Lesson

I signed Syd and I up for Mom and Me swimming lessons at our rec pool. I have been looking forward to it for weeks. Syd has liked the water since her first tub bath, so I thought why not. These first two pictures are pre-dip.
Here is a little video or our class. We learned to blow bubbles, kick, hold the edge, jump in, and float. The scariest part was when we had to go underwater during ring around the rosies. I was really nervous, but she is a tough girl.

This is a picture post-dip.

It was such a blast! We have eight lessons. Syd will be a fish when we are done!

Pumpkin FHE

Tonight for our FHE activity we painted our pumpkin and ate Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins.(Syd really liked those.) We really look forward to FHE! We always try to do some crazy activity for Syd. Also, I have attached my most recent Halloween craft. It is a door hanger.

Syd Has So Many Expressions...

One of the things that I have loved as Syd has gotten older is her new expressions. She is quite the character, and I can tell she will be a performer. I am in for a wild ride.

Conference Weekend in Bear Lake

This weekend we headed north for conference! Syd loves a good road trip, especially when it is to go see Grandma! Mostly Bear Lake consist of watching movies and snacking on junk food non stop! We sampled such things as carmel apples, chocolate dipped raspberries, apple and cherry turnovers, scones, peanut M & M's, and much more! We had a good time!

I haven't been bloggin' but I have been craftin'

So I know I have not been the best blogger out there. But alas, you will see why! I have been a craftin' fool. Here are a few finished products!!
This is the quilt I made for Juli, Jeff's sister, for her wedding!

This is the civil war quilt I just finished for me! I really love it!

This is a pillow that I made for Syd's room!

This is a Christmas advent calendar...I think that it is awesome!

I have also made some holiday dish towels...this is the halloween one!

Here are some soft blocks I made...also for Syd!

And lastly, Heidi, a friend of mine, and I are making quiet books at our play dates! These are going to be amazing, but will take forever!

So you can see, I have been very busy! I also have inherited the job of lawn maintainance for our condo and may be picking up employment for an educational testing company (I can work from home) which could be cool!!
