New Years Trip To Bryce Canyon

The week after Christmas we headed South for a little family vacation! We were a little apprehensive about Syd being in the car for so long, but she was awesome! Our first stop was my grandparent's house in St. George. We got there in the late afternoon, so we went to the outlets for awhile then came home to make nachos and watch movie! The next day we went to Snow Canyon to test out the backpack we got Syd for Christmas and to see the sights. She loved the backpack and being outdoors...we hiked around a bit, then went home for Syd to take a nap. That night we went to the Aquatic Center, but unfortunately it seems that Syd has forgotten most of her swimming skills...looks like another round of lessons is coming her way! The next day we headed to Bryce Canyon by way of Zion's! It was beautiful! We rented this quaint little cabin in Tropic, Utah, just outside of Bryce. When we arrived, we went to dinner at the only diner in town, but the food was good! The next day we packed on the snow gear so we could go hike the rim of the amphitheater, only to shed most of our clothing before we even started! (It was a warm day!) The hike was amazing and Syd seemed to enjoy it! Later that afternoon, we came back to the canyon and drove most of the length stopping at different viewpoints! Totally awesome! The next day we headed home...we had the best time! Our first family road trip, certain not to be our last!

Bryce Canyon Country Cabins
